Are you an experienced Technical Manager looking for an exciting new challenge within a thriving food business?

This prestigious food manufacturer who supply the UK major multiples & food service customers are seeking a high calibre Technical Manager to be responsible for the department to ensure that all products are manufactured safely, hygienically, from the best quality raw materials and to the highest standard. You’ll be accountable for maintaining optimum levels of product quality, using your broad technical expertise to demonstrate effective compliance with current legal requirements. You will take responsibility for the leadership and management of a large Technical team, ensuring they are supported and managed effectively. You will also guide them through all arrangements for customer, supplier and third party visits, detailing outcomes and ensuring quality management systems are updated accordingly. You’ll play a major role in the site’s continuous improvement process, challenging ingredients and suppliers where necessary whilst working proactively with customers to develop strong working relationships and ensure that company and customer values are reflected.

Suit an exceptional and proven Technical Manager with a wealth of technical experience gained from a similar role within the food manufacturing industry, ideally from the chilled sector. You’ll have experience of HACCP and BRC standards with a successful track record of achieving excellence. You’ll have demonstrated the ability to lead a team, using fantastic communication and interpersonal skills to drive continuous improvement initiatives successfully. Good organisation and project management are a must in order to succeed in this role as well as effective presentation skills. A high level of computer literacy is also essential.
