Busch celebrates ‘50 up’ in style

July 15
10:46 2013

Leading vacuum pump, blower and vacuum systems manufacturer Busch is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a series of customer focused events at facilities all around the globe.

The UK celebrations took place in July, centring around the company’s Crewe manufacturing facility.  Members of the Busch Family, including Dr Karl Busch with his wife Frau Ayhan Busch and the UK management team were joined by more than 120 customers, key suppliers and the Deputy Mayor of Cheshire East, as well as former Busch employees for a VIP reception and tour.  This was followed by a dinner at the prestigious Crewe Hall Hotel with the first woman of English football and leading business icon Karren Brady as special guest speaker.

A daytime reception and tour also took place the following day at the company’s Telford site where employees participated in an informal gathering with the Busch Family.

Ian Graves, managing director for Busch (UK) Limited, said:  “We wanted to mark the 50th anniversary of Busch with the people who have made us so successful over the years – our customers.  We’ve also enjoyed sharing the occasion with some of our former employees who have also played a key part in our success.

“Over the last 12 months we have continued with the investment programme at the Crewe manufacturing facility, one of six Busch worldwide plants, which began with the re-location to new, state-of-the-art premises in summer 2012.

“It’s been an exciting year for us already with the ‘Make It with Busch initiative’, our being shortlisted for the Company of the Year in the Shropshire Business Awards and this customer event will undoubtedly provide the platform for continuous improvement and growth for the future at Busch.”

In addition to Crewe, Busch has five other manufacturing sites located in Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, the USA and the Czech Republic.

Busch is the global market leader for vacuum and low pressure pumps for a wide range of applications, including food and packaging, and offers a comprehensive product portfolio. As a pioneer in vacuum packaging, Busch is marking its 50 year anniversary by celebrating half a century of continuous quality, innovation and service to become the premier supplier of vacuum and over pressure equipment.
