East Meets West – Taura Inspires Global Flavour Combinations at FIE

Real fruit and vegetable pieces are the perfect way to combine eastern and western flavours, Taura Natural Ingredients will demonstrate at Food Ingredients Europe. With consumers seeking new taste sensations, and eastern flavours particularly sought after, Taura – part of Frutarom – offers a range of ways to help manufacturers satisfy adventurous palates.

The company’s unique Ultra-Rapid Concentration (URC) technology allows it to create versatile fruit and vegetable pieces that are easily combined with herbs and spices, making them perfect for exciting new flavour concepts.Products on show at FIE will include mango chutney pieces and pineapple curry pieces.

Gwynnie Hagen, Sales Manager – EMEA at Taura Natural Ingredients, says: “Today, we can all be global travellers every time we eat. East-west flavour combinations are more popular than ever and consumers want to experience them in their favourite supermarket products. With our unique URC technology, we can add the tantalising edge of Asian flavours to delicate sweet fruit, enabling manufacturers to ‘spice up’ classic categories.”

Taura will also be inspiring visitors to create one-off ranges by combining fruit pieces with “seasonal” herbs and spices.

Gwynnie Hagen adds: “Fruit and spice flavour combinations are incredibly evocative and often trigger powerful associations with a particular time of year. By working with a combination of plum pieces and cinnamon, for example, you can create the perfect product for Christmas.”
