LycoRed, Israel, introduces results of new studies on Lyc-O-Mato®, natural lycopene extract for cardiovascular and prostate health at VitaFoods, Geneva booth no. 2069.

Essential hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular health problems in the developed world and is an indisputable risk factor for morbidity and mortality.

Esther Paran, PhD, will present at Vitafoods Europe Conference, May 23rd, introducing the conclusions of this and other clinical research on Lyc-O-Mato’s abilities to help protect against prehypertension and hypertension as cardiovascular risk factors, and explain the effect of tomato and tomato products such as Lyc-O-Mato as important antioxidant sources in diet. Included will be a description of her pioneer study on tomato extract capsules for reduction of blood pressure in hypertensive patients. She will also demonstrate the superior beneficial effect of natural lycopene extract on blood pressure compared to synthetic lycopene.

Lyco-o-Mato is the main source of lycopene and one of the most potent in vitro antioxidants among the carotenoids. LycoRed’s Lyc-o-Mato ® natural tomato complex contains a full complement of carotenoid antioxidants and is a product of choice in creating products designed to help prevent cardiovascular and prostate disease.
