Enjoy Life Foods adds free-from baking mixes for foodservice

Enjoy-Life-Foods-PancakeWaffle-5lb-Baking-MixFree-from food brand Enjoy Life Foods has launched a new range of 5lb baking mixes specifically designed for the foodservice channel.

The bulk packs will feature the same great functional ingredients as the brand’s retail range, which FoodBev first reported on last year. They consist of a pancake and waffle mix, pizza crust mix, brownie mix, muffin mix, and a finely sifted all-purpose flour mix that can be used as in cakes, breads and other bakery products.

The unique, allergy-friendly products can be mixed with oil and water for delicious and better-for-you baked food options that are free from some of the most prevalent allergens – including wheat, gluten and dairy. The launch will allow Enjoy Life Foods’ foodservice operators – including Dot Foods, the US’ largest food industry redistributor – to increase the choice offered to consumers with food intolerances or those simply seeking to avoid particular foods on health grounds.

Enjoy Life Foods chief sales and marketing officer Joel Warady said: “Consumers have responded better than we could have imagined when we recently launched our functional, free-from baking mixes on shelves, and we’re excited to provide foodservice operators with the same allergy-friendly option that’s previously been unavailable.

“Our baking mixes are crafted with added probiotics for immune health, boast 5g per serving of plant-based algal protein, and ancient grains like teff flour that is hand-harvested in Ethiopia. It’s these innovative ingredients and our history of producing trusted gluten-free and free-from foods that makes Enjoy Life the best option to bring baking safely back to commercial kitchens everywhere.”
