Global technology equipment supplier, JBT will be showcasing four of its food and technology businesses on Stand A20/B29 in Hall 10.1 at this year’s Anuga FoodTec, representing everything from freezing and cooking, to filling, sterilising, juice processing and automatic guided vehicle systems.

JBT: Freezing and Cooking

JBT offers integrated food processing solutions right across the board, from meat, seafood and poultry, to baked goods, beverages, juice, milk and convenience foods.

As pioneers in freezing technology, the range of Frigoscandia Spiral Freezers will be a key highlight, including its leading product, the Frigoscandia GYRoCOMPACT® Spiral Freezer. The latest addition to this range is the GYRoCOMPACT® 60 Spiral Freezer, a more compact, low energy consumption version, boasting a reduction of 65% in installed drive power, an updated design and more user-friendly controls.

Another recent addition to the JBT freezing and cooking portfolio is the Double D Revodrum® 600 Twin Drum Oven, a compact and cost-efficient two-zone cooking system for a wide range of cooking applications, including all forms of breaded products. The oven’s high temperature capability ensures excellent results on roasted boneless and bone-in chicken. It can also steam cook and provide a pre-frying or pre-cooking stage.

The company will be exhibiting its new SeamTec for Powder Series, designed for gentle and hygienic packing of premium powers, such as infant formula, milk, coffee, chocolate and sports drinks. This Seamtec provides high-speed clinching and closing of round cans in an easy-to-clean environment, enabling quick can format change-over. In short, the new SeamTec for Powder sets new standards for powder seaming technology by unequaled hygienic design, enhanced safety features and outstanding operating efficiency.

JBT: Automatic Guided Vehicle Systems

JBT is also a leading global supplier of automatic guided vehicle (AGV) systems which provide safe, unmanned movement of raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods and waste in manufacturing and warehousing sites. AGVs often resemble a manual fork lift truck, but operate automatically without a driver. Best suited to multi-shift operations, the systems use flexible user-friendly software to reduce costs, and optimise deliveries and traffic control. The systems are scalable and able to adapt to future facility changes. By reducing costs and increasing productivity they typically achieve a payback within two years. The European headquarters for JBT’s AGV business is in Leicester in the UK. Visit www.jbtc-agv.com.
