Fundamentals of Maintenance Management

Maintenance is a challenging activity in any industry and it is not getting any easier. Global competition and the wider use of Just in Time Manufacturing make it paramount for equipment to perform at world class levels. Increasing regulation also means that securing one’s license to operate requires more effort.

Paul Wheelhouse, a chartered engineer with 18 years industry experience and DAK Academy course leader explains: “As with any skill development journey, a firm grasp of the Fundamentals (of Maintenance Management) is essential to achieving industry leading levels of equipment performance.”

In turn this helps to guide key business decisions, budgets and most importantly unlock the true potential of the maintenance team.
