GEA has announced an order intake for Q4 2015 of at least EUR 1.240 million, which exceeds the old record of Q2 2013, when orders reached EUR 1.220 million. This represents an increase of at least 7.1 percent against prior year’s fourth quarter. Larger orders from a broad range of customer industries contributed to this record quarterly order intake, giving evidence of GEA’s resilience against adverse underlying commodity prices – as for example a still depressed milk price – impacting the overall investment mood in particular industries.

“The achievement of this order intake is the result of an extraordinary effort of GEA’s employees across all levels and functions in the new OneGEA organization and highlights that customers seek and trust in GEA’s engineering products and solutions more than ever,” says Jürg Oleas, CEO of GEA. “2015 was a very special year for GEA, as the group made a fundamental transition from an agglomeration of smaller businesses towards an integrated group, taking out complexity costs by reducing the number of management layers. While all this fundamental change was happening inside the company, GEA’s employees showed their real strength by staying focused on customers and markets to achieve the highest order intake ever in any quarter.”

GEA will issue the full scope of preliminary key figures for fiscal 2015 and the outlook for FY 2016 on February 4, 2016. GEA’s audited annual report will be published on March 10, 2016.
