Every application brings its own demands to wireless communication. What all systems have in common is that the wireless components used have to be simple to handle while being as safe and reliable as wired devices.

Phoenix Contact has put its experience in interface and automation technology to use and developed a comprehensive wireless product portfolio to react to markets and customers wants and needs. It does not matter whether you want to send only a few signals or large amounts of data, whether the communication is in real-time over short distances or over several hundred meters, or whether it involves a production hall with metal surroundings or the outdoors – Phoenix Contact will find the right solution for every requirement.

Trusted Wireless – designed for industrial applications the FHSS method is used for band spread, which guarantees a high immunity to interference with long ranges up to 3Km, small cycle transmissions, easy set up and good diagnostics.

Bluetooth (IEEE 803.15.1) – Extremely rugged and reliable data transmission in metallic environments and areas with high levels of interference.  Also with inclusion in the Profinet standards for wireless technology.

WLAN (IEEE 802.11) – A high-performance, system-wide wireless networks with several mobile devices. Easily integrated into the IT and system network. WLAN has high data rates of up to 54Mbps gross. With industrial automation WLAN has become the standard.

GSM/GPRS –  An open system for mobile communication. GSM type of technology has international expansion with standardized connections in more than 200 countries with frequencies of 850HHz, 1800MHz and 1900MHz are all used worldwide.
