Combining the best of National Starch and Corn Products, Ingredion’s starch-based alternatives mimic the essential texture, performance and shelf life of everyday ingredients such as egg, dairy solids, tomato paste, fruit and fruit pulp to cut ingredient and manufacturing costs, without sacrificing consumer appeal.

Ingredion will be using this opportunity to showcase how its speciality starches can replace costly ingredients, streamline production costs and improve eating quality in dairy, beverage, savoury and bakery applications:

•    Award-winning PURITY GUM ULTRA emulsifier delivers exceptional turbidity and stability in both soft and alcoholic beverage formulations. Meeting industry and consumer demand for cost-effective drinks, the ingredient eliminates the need for weighting agents can reduce manufacturing costs by as much as 50 per cent.
•    A key ingredient on-stand will be N-DULGE C1, a co-texturiser that replaces dairy fat for desserts, dressings, yoghurt and yoghurt drinks with indulgent, luxurious textures.
•    The bakery team will demonstrate how manufacturers can use PURITY GUM 25 ER starch to reduce egg content in cakes without compromising taste, texture or mouthfeel.
•    N-DULGE 316 co-texturiser can replace costly oil in mayonnaise while maintaining the texture or mouthfeel of a full-fat product.

In addition to the company’s ongoing commitment to cost optimisation, Ingredion will be highlighting its range of functional ingredients with simple label declarations. Clean label is one of the fastest growing trends in Europe and is now spreading to other regions such as the Middle East, opening up a world of opportunity for manufacturers.

NOVATION Prima 300 and NOVATION Prima 600 are two functional native starches from this 25-strong range of clean label ingredients. Delivering excellent texturising properties and superb stability, NOVATION Prima 300 and NOVATION Prima 600 are perfect for use in sauces and ketchups.
