There are 2 main services that we’re planning to focus on in February:

1)      “Eco-Design” we can help brand owners and packaging manufacturers to re-engineer a design in order to minimise its impact. We do this by reducing materials and weight, optimising shape, structure and size, and improving efficiency throughout the supply chain. We offer a full consultancy service from initial idea through to final delivery to shelf.

–         (for example, we managed to improve a fitment design for a modem reducing assembly time from 5 minutes per item to 30 seconds which greatly improved cost and time to market)

2)      “Pre-media Support” we offer a range of services for packaging manufacturers to help reduce cost and improve efficiency at the prepress stage, we can apply automated workflows and online management tools which receive artwork files and supply back to the printer ready to output or the die maker ready to cut without the need for a pre-press department. Our service reduces overheads while improving productivity and reducing spoilage

–          (for one of our customers, we’ve managed to reduce their waiting time from 48hours to under 12).

Our services are fairly technical in nature, but we’re trying to be fairly informal and friendly in our approach so that everyone from Marketers to supply chain managers can understand the language and message we’re trying to convey,

A couple of quotes (taken from our website which is currently in production):

“We love great packaging; so whether you have a technical problem or a complex project, we’re here to help. There are some amazing technologies and techniques out there, and some wonderful designers but far too often the end product is diluted due to lead-time or cost constraints. As we’re not tied to a manufacturer, we can offer truly independent support and advice, whether you’re a designer, brand owner or supplier. We’ve made it our mission to ensure that your creative idea is communicated, through well executed, great packaging.”

“Our vision: To provide leading solutions which aid communication and quality through our customers’ packaging. In pursuit of this target, we provide technical support and management systems for both brand owners and manufacturers which ensure that the initial creative idea is communicated in a technically coherent and sufficient way throughout the supply chain.”

Finally – one thing we’re planning to do to generate a bit of buzz is to start a #greatpackaging tag- we’re looking for people (e.g. anyone interested in packaging) to submit things they’ve seen that they like.

We thought it would be a nice way for people to engage with us.
