Irish meat processor Kepak Group has picked up seven awards at this year’s prestigious Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards, including a Gold award for its newly launched Centra Irish Angus Sirloin Steaks with Pink Peppercorn Butter. As one of Europe’s leading food innovators, Kepak was up against the top Irish producers in a range of distinct categories at the country’s biggest competition for quality produce.

Now in its 11th year, Blas na hEireann, saw over 2500 products entered across 100 food and drink categories, showcasing the best producers Ireland has to offer.

John Horgan, Managing Director at Kepak Group, comments: “Kepak is extremely proud of its award wins at this year’s Blas na hEireann. To be recognised in multiple categories at one of the most prestigious Irish food awards is a huge achievement. We are especially pleased to take out the Gold award for the best Beef Value Added category after the successful launch of our Centra Irish Angus Sirloin Steaks with Pink Peppercorn Butter in July. As an Irish company these industry wins really help demonstrate the quality of the meat Kepak produces.”

Kepak operates beef, lamb, pork and convenience food processing facilities throughout Ireland and in the UK, with sales offices in key European, Asian and African markets.
