Major Board Changes at Real Good Food

Real Good Food, the diversified food business, has appointed Harveen Rai as Finance Director and Company Secretary. Harveen Rai replaces David Newman, who will be stepping down from the board with immediate effect but who will remain with the company for a period of time in order to ensure an orderly handover.

Real Good Food has appointed Hugh Cawley as Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. Furthermore Pieter Totté, Executive Chairman of Real Good Food, has resigned and stepped down from the board with immediate effect.

Pat Ridgwell, Non-Executive Director has assumed the role as Interim Chairman until a permanent Chairman can be appointed and Christopher Thomas, currently a Non-Executive Director has assumed the role of Executive Director.

The changes follow a surprise profit warning by Real Good Food.

Harveen Raj has approximately 20 years of experience, predominately in fast moving consumer goods listed companies. She was previously Chief Financial Officer at Arzyta UK Holdings, where she was involved in implementing and streamlining the processes and controls of the company. During her time at Aryzta, Harveen Raj was also involved in developing and strengthening the regional finance teams to grow in line with the needs of the business. Prior to her time at Aryzta, She spent over 10 years working at LSG Sky Chefs, a global airline catering company which is owned by Lufthansa, listed on the German Stock Exchange.

Hugh Cawley, FCA, is an experienced finance professional with extensive public company experience with a particular focus on businesses facing a major strategic challenge or undergoing significant corporate change. His public company executive roles have included spells with S Daniels PLC, Dawson Holdings PLC, office2office plc and, most recently, Progility plc and Driver Group plc.
