The National Food & Drink Business Conference and Exhibition 2018, Ireland’s premier trade event for the food and drink processing, packaging, ingredients and logistics industries, is being held at the Citywest Convention Centre on Wednesday, September 5th, 2018.

The theme of the 2018 National Food & Drink Business Conference and Exhibition is ‘Collaborating for an Innovative Food Island’. The must attend event for food professionals is expected to attract over 2,000 visitors from Ireland’s leading food processing, retail and food service industries to participate in a range of seminars and panel discussions highlighting the key issues facing the industry.

The impact of climate change on the food industry, Brexit and future trends are set to be discussed at the event. Irish SME’s will have the opportunity to showcase products and services while business decision makers, start-ups, owners and managers can gain unique insights into food retail and hospitality, sustainability, tourism and SMART factory foods.

Speakers this year include: Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Andrew Doyle; CEO of the Irish Exporters Association, Simon McKeever; and Chief Specialist in food technology at The Food Safety Authority of Ireland, Dr Patrick O’Mahony.

The event encompasses all major sectors of the Irish food and drink industry – dairy, meat, seafood, poultry, bakery, confectionery, convenience foods, fresh produce, snacks, brewing, soft drinks and bottled water.

The comprehensive Conference programme will be supplemented by a wide range of exhibitors demonstrating the latest equipment, technology, food and services. Exhibitors will showcase ingredients, process engineering, packaging equipment and materials, food safety, energy, water and waste management.
