Norbert Dentressangle – one of Europe’s leading logistics and transport companies – has established a new subsidiary company in order to grow its business in Ireland.

With existing operations in Dublin, Belfast and Co. Kildare, Norbert Dentressangle Logistics Ireland Ltd, will provide innovative, high added-value warehousing and distribution solutions  across the Island of Ireland.

Currently employing 120 people, it is anticipated that the new company will create up to 20 additional jobs over the next 12 months.

Norbert Dentressangle already manages operations in Ireland on behalf of major companies including ADM Londis, La Palette Rouge, Mitsubishi and Tesco and has well-established Irish freight forwarding and transport services operations.

Mark Boulton, Business Development Director for Norbert Dentressangle Logistics Ireland Ltd said: “This is an excellent time for Norbert Dentressangle to reinforce its commitment to Ireland – the current economy is favourable for new entrants, allowing us to be extremely competitive in the market and deliver exceptional value for our customers. Whilst trading conditions remain tough, we see excellent development potential as the economy returns to growth.

“With our local presence and knowledge and the backing of one of Europe’s largest transport and logistics companies, Norbert Dentressangle will continue to invest in our operations as we pursue our strategy to become the logistics partner of choice for Irish manufacturers and retailers.”
