The organisers of the PPMA Show have announced three outstanding young professionals from the packaging and processing industry as the finalists for this year’s Ones to Watch awards, sponsored by Festo Training & Consulting.

The Ones to Watch finalists

Alex Hofmann (Schubert UK) Alex joined Schubert UK in 2001 as an apprentice at the company’s German manufacturing site and since then and has risen through the ranks at the company to be appointed as Sales Account Manager in the UK office. Not only has he immersed himself in the language and culture, but he has also proven to be a highly successful team player and motivated salesman. His commitment and attention to detail should be a standard that all project managers aspire to.

Marcel Darroch-Davies (Axelent Ltd) Marcel became MD of Axelent Ltd two years ago at the age of 26. During this time, he has been instrumental in making Axelent UK one of the top selling Axelent Distributors. He is personally involved in overseeing all the large and bespoke projects, which Axelent undertakes.

Mark William Flintoft (Quasar Automation Ltd) Mark joined Quasar Automation in 2002 as a 16-year-old apprentice.  He spent his first four years learning basic engineering and manufacturing skills but following a serious motorcycle accident, transferred to the design office to learn about CAD. He was instrumental in converting the company to using SolidWorks 3D CAD, which has transformed the way in which bespoke systems are designed. Mark now has full responsibility for product design at Quasar Automation and is always striving to integrate the most advanced and relevant technology into the company’s systems.
