Product of the Year, the world’s largest annual consumer-voted award for product innovation, has announced that entries for the 2019 awards are open since 1st May 2018, with the deadline for submissions on Tuesday 31st July 2018. Last years winners included McCain, Paul Hollywood’s Home Baking, Gordon’s Premium Pink Gin, along with many others.

The Product of the Year logo is a powerful tool to help brands boost sales, with 15 years of experience championing the UK’s most innovative products. Voted for by over 10,000 consumers, the award is recognised and trusted by shoppers, with 86% more likely to buy a product featuring the famous red logo. Winning brands see an average sales uplift of 10-15%, with some seeing increases of as much as 135%, using the logo across all communication channels including on-pack, digital and social, and in store. This year, an amplified blogger and influencer programme across digital and social platforms is set to deliver even broader visibility for the winning products.

Mike Nolan, CEO of Product of the Year, said: “We want to hear from brands who have launched truly innovative products answering consumer needs. Product of the Year is a great way to make your brand stand out on shelf or add a wow factor to a new product launch, and ultimately boost sales. Each year we’re impressed with the quality of the smart and insightful products that are entered and we are excited to see a whole new raft of innovation this year too!”

2018’s awards saw more than 10,000 shoppers choosing the winners in 50 categories across Food & Drink, Household, Electrical, Beauty and many more. Next January will mark the 15th awards to take place in the UK, once against working in conjunction with Kantar TNS, one of the world’s leading research agencies.

The awards are open to all products across a wide range of categories, launched in the UK in the past 18 months. All products undergo an independent judging process before being voted for by consumers. The overall winners will be invited to celebrate together at a glittering awards ceremony held at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane Hotel on January 24th 2019.
