Vitafoods Europe to host exclusive roundtable event for the first time

April 18
09:40 2011

Vitafoods Europe, the global nutraceuticals event, will play host to an exclusive business roundtable for the first time ever at this year’s show.

Featuring speakers from some of the world’s major product, retail and food research companies, the invite-only roundtable will cover topics including the ease-of-use for health supplements and how best to achieve commercial success in the expanding nutraceuticals market. The lively debate is being organised by Via Connect and will take place on 11 May at 10:30am with over 35 major ingredient suppliers and manufacturers attending.

Moderated by Euromonitor International, the top table will feature senior industry executives including Dr Henglong Hu (Director Nutrition Sciences, GSK Nutritional Healthcare Futures), Werner Klaffke (Director Global Nutrition and Vitality Platform, Unilever), Dr Michele Kellerhals (Research & Innovation Director, Coca-Cola European Union Group), Dr Paul Berryman (Chief Executive, Leatherhead Food Research), Dr Claire Hughes (Company Nutritionist, Marks & Spencer) and Ewa Hudson (Health and Wellness Research, Euromonitor International). Panellists will give their individual perspectives on how manufacturers can overcome common perceptions of nutraceuticals and encourage consumers to accept functional food and drink products.

The inaugural event will take place on 11 May 2011 during Vitafoods Europe (10-12 May, Geneva Palexpo, Switzerland). There will be an on-demand videocast available after the roundtable, for more information contact Christopher Watt on +44 (0)1372 364132 or visit www.nbtawards.com.
