Ireland’s leading bottled water Ballygowan Natural Mineral Water and Energise Sport, part of Britvic Ireland, have been unveiled as the official hydration partners of Dublin GAA in a new threeyear deal. Under the new partnership, Ballygowan and Energise Sport will support Dublin hurling and football teams across all age groups including under 21 and senior.

Tomás Quinn, commercial & marketing manager of Dublin GAA, says: “Keeping players refreshed and hydrated is an important part of achieving peak performance and we are delighted to be working with two home grown Irish brands that are experts in hydration and performance. We are looking forward to building a long standing relationship with Britvic and I have no doubt our clubs and supporters will get fully behind our new partners Ballygowan and Energise Sport.”

Leonie Doyle, marketing director of Britvic Ireland, states: “Dublin GAA is a perfect partner for both Ballygowan and Energise Sport. The passion, pride and ambition that drives Dublin GAA towards their remarkable achievements is an inspiration to us all. Collaborating with Dublin GAA gives us a great platform to promote the benefits of healthy hydration for everyone. We share the deep rooted pride in our brands that Dublin fans share for their county and we are thrilled to get behind the boys in blue in 2015 and beyond.”

Britvic Ireland is the number two soft drinks business in Ireland with 24% of the market. Ballygowan remains the undisputed leader in the Irish bottled water market with approximately 17% share in grocery and 55% in the licensed trade. Last year Ballygowan marked its 30thanniversary with a successful launch into the UK market. Energise Sport is the only leading sports drink that is 100% produced in Ireland. Energise Sport has 15% market share in Ireland.
