UK dairy co-operative First Milk has agreed to sell its Manchester-base CNP Professional sports nutrition business to The Protein Partners for an undisclosed sum. The Protein Partners is part of County Milk Products, which specialises in supplying dairy ingredients to food and feed manufacturers in the UK, the Continent and several other export markets.

“The sale of CNP follows a full strategic review by the board last year. It is the final step in allowing us to focus even more closely on our core businesses in hard cheese and liquid brokering,” explains Mike Gallacher, chief executive of First Milk. “This focus is delivering improved milk prices and a more sustainable business model for our farmer shareholders.”
