Fruit packer opts for new Proseal equipment
Soft Fruit packager WH Porter has moved its production over to a Proseal GT2 tray sealer
The company packs its own fruit as well as produce from other growers and handles around three million pack units per year at a rate of up to 40,000 packs a day.
WH Porter opted for the Proseal GT2 as it wanted to switch to heat sealing using a film lid and wanted to reduce the amount of packaging it uses in the production process.
The machine is capable of handling 90 packs per minute and incorporates Proseal’s “special lightweight high strength tooling”.
