Ilapak has launched a new, upgraded version of its Delta LD flowrapper, specifically designed to meet the packaging requirements and tough hygienic standards of the poultry industry.  The new flowrapping machine  has been designed specifically for poultry industry applications, in particular chicken pieces and whole birds with or without a tray. Ilapak’s new DeltaLD system improves packaging line efficiency, reduces packaging costs, enhances pack presentation and minimises leaker rates, and is particularly suitable for Cryovac’s BDF and SES films.

Extremely versatile, the new Delta LD for poultry  is one of the first on the market to offer the capability to flowrap whole birds with and  without a tray, allowing producers to achieve significant cost savings  by removing the traditional supporting tray altogether.

Pack presentation too is greatly enhanced.  Ilapak’s Delta LD for poultry creates more attractive packs on the supermarket shelf with fewer wrinkles than traditional stretchwrapping, as well as other similar solutions. Ilapak’s Delta LD system for poultry  is particularly suitable for use with Cryovac  BDF and SES films. When used with Cryovac’s BDF films there is potential to achieve significant extended shelf life.

Ilapak’s new flowrapper  offers industry leading leaker rates thanks to Ilapak’s  long-dwell sealing head which optimises the sealing cycle to produce high quality seals and leak-proof packs.

Improved hygiene is another important benefit.  The flowrapper’s robust, easy-to-clean design, with smooth stainless steel surfaces and no visible holes or screw traps, makes it easier to meet stringent food industry regulations.

The Delta  LD for poultry uses the same easy-to-use electronic control platform as other Ilapak machines and so offers the same wide range of operational benefits such as automatic product size change, no-product-no-bag and misplaced product detection.
