PFM announces first range of vertical sachet machines
PFM Packaging Machinery has introduced its first range of 
four-side-seal vertical sachet machines, able to handle a wide range of liquids, powders and small items.
Offering medium speeds, up to four hundred sachets a minute, and capacities of 5-250ml, the BG Pack MP240 and MP340 machines each employ four servo motor drives to eliminate chains and gears and are built in an open, cantilever style to allow easy cleaning. Control is via a Siemens PLC as standard, with a touchscreen operator panel for all functions, while a tubular stainless steel frame combines high rigidity with low weight.
UK sales and operations director Chris Bolton says, “PFM has drawn on its considerable experience of flow-wrappers and bagging machines to produce state-of-the-art sachet machines incorporating the very latest technology.”
The BG Pack MP240 and MP340 can be equipped with a variety of optional equipment including tear notch cutters for easy opening, a thermal transfer printer and gas flushing. Dosing systems include weighers, augers, volumetric fillers, pumps and counters.
