PPS produces new Champagne design for Duval-Leroy

UK packaging design production specialists Professional Packaging Services (PPS) has created presentation packaging for Champagne house Duval-Leroy


It follows the creation of a rigid gift box set in 2012, the first time PPS had worked with Duval-Leroy, which was designed to contain a number of gift combinations including three bottles, and one bottle with two flutes. PPS based the range on a common box size with removable inserts to fit the different product combinations. This made it easy to interchange the contents depending on which was selling best.

The latest brief from Duval-Leroy was to design a wooden gift box set, for their prestigious ‘Femme de Champagne’ magnum, in two parts that could rotate on its axis and remain open to showcase the bottle. Despite the considerable weight of the bottle, the designers were able to develop the correct mechanism to ensure a smooth rotation while holding the magnum firmly in place.
