Rexam has worked with long term partner Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas Oy to create a new can design  for their Duudesons Jekkulimonadi ‘gag lemonade’.

The soft lemonade drink Duudesons Jekkulimonadi has been created in association with Finnish stunt personalities The Dudesons, best known for their TV and live stunt shows.

The 33cl cans, which have an exciting and colourful design, are currently produced in Rexam’s Malmö plant in Sweden, but will shortly be transferred to Rexam’s new Finland plant which was opened in January this year.  The drink takes its name from the ‘gag’ inside the can – a secret ingredient which is included to surprise the consumer.

Rami Aarikka, CEO at Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas Oy, commented: “We have worked with Rexam since 2001, when we first started packaging our products in cans. We did not know anything about the canning business at this time and Rexam really helped us. We have continued to work closely with the team to develop cans that enhance our products and ensure we can stand out from competitors.”

We needed to guarantee that the can will have on-shelf impact, to encourage people to buy the drink and share their experiences of the drink with others. A combination of a unique design and first-class printing techniques gives a great impression and perfectly complements the nature of the Duudeson’s brand.”

Duudesons Jekkulimonadi, in the new cans, will be available throughout Finland from March 2013.
