UK distributor named for Highcon Euclid digital cutter and creaser
Start-up business Conversion has clinched deals to distribute Highcon’s digital cutting and creasing machine, the Euclid, and the Scodix suite of products
According to the company’s managing director, former KBA director Mark Nixon, the Highcon Euclid is a “revolution” in the post-press market and targets the packaging sector.
The machine launched last December and was on show in May at the Drupa print fair in Germany. Carton business Chesapeake announced in June that it was planning to install one of the machines.
“Not only have Highcon shortened the time to first cut and creased sheet from days to minutes, they have also significantly improved the efficiency and flexibility of the process,” said Nixon.
“This technology paves the way for packaging companies to stay competitive, creative and innovative while answering the requirement for ever reducing run lengths.”
Conversion has also linked up with Scodix and will distribute its digital enhancement suite of products, including the ScodixSense.
“This is a product that will open up more opportunities for printers and their clients,” added Nixon.
