Markem-Imaje is offering visitors the chance to win an iPad at the PPMA show

The show guide will include a belly wrapper, which includes a unique code. Visitors can take the code to the Markem-Imaje stand (D10) where the number can be entered into a prize draw.

Martin Bailey, Markem-Imaje UK operations manager, said: “The show guide wrapper gives everyone the chance to win a great prize, but it is also a real opportunity for people to learn about unique promotional codes and how easy they are to implement in the production environment.

“Unique codes are increasingly used by brands to enable them to run ‘intelligent’ promotions. Quite simply the unique code, or unique reference number (URN), gives brands a method to link their consumer communication to purchase. Leading FMCG brands call it the path to purchase.

Bailey added: “It’s not just the big brands that can benefit. Smaller businesses that want to run a promotional campaign on relatively small print runs should not think that the cost will be prohibitive or that the introduction of code printing will disrupt production.”

Markem-Imaje linked up with code campaign specialist Hive on the promotion.
