CP Foods (UK) Expands Food Service Footprint With Acquisition of Foodfellas
CP Foods (UK) has acquired a controlling interest in The Foodfellas. The move brings together two businesses servicing the food service channel.
CP Foods (UK) is part of CP Foods of Thailand, a global business and one of the world’s largest food manufacturing companies, processing cooked chicken, duck, shrimp, fish, ready meals and snacks from its factories across Asia. CP Foods has a broad portfolio of prepared meals, snack foods and protein-based products.
The Foodfellas is a food importation business, supplying products from around the world to the UK food service market. The Foodfellas specialises in supplying the growing casual dining market both within the wider casual channel as well as the UK’s important on-trade food market. The acquisition sees the directors of Foodfellas retain a significant shareholding in the enlarged business.
The move will see the current CP Foods (UK) food service team merged with The Foodfellas team.
