Based in Ashbourne County Meath, multi temperature supply chain specialist, Oakland International, has been selected to work in partnership with County Limerick operator, Glenstal Foods, to extend distribution of Glenstal butter following its successful retail trial.

Storing, picking and distributing the new Glenstal butter under the trial since the beginning of April, Oakland International’s care and attention to detail during implementation proved highly successful, running smoothly with stock bolting easily on to their existing delivery scheme.

Dave Ryan, Glenstal Foods, stated: “Our customers expect a high quality logistic service, and after reviewing the market we found that Oakland International reaches our clients high standards.

“We have been working with Richard Hill and his team at Oakland for a number of months now and in which time they have developed a reliable network of proven delivery channels, giving our customers peace of mind that delivery is assured and as expected. Their fast and reliable delivery framework responds effectively from the smallest to the largest of orders, taking any worry out of urgent deliveries and challenging time-lines with proven door to door logistics, and with all our deliveries chilled, Oakland holds accreditation to the highest modern day standards.

“The bottom line is that they are a pleasure to work with and they are extremely efficient and I could not recommend them highly enough.”

Based in Murroe and specialising in retail, food service and manufacturing, Glenstal Foods is known for sourcing and supplying high end quality dairy products and ingredients to the Irish dairy food industry.

General Manager for Oakland International, Richard Hill, commented: “We are delighted to be working with, and supporting, a new Irish product break in to the dairy marketplace, and from such an established Irish company as Glenstal Foods.

“Utilising our specialist consolidation service model, tailored for suppliers of all sizes working within a competitive market, Glenstal Foods also benefits from our key location close to many major retailer RDCs;  we are now looking forward to further extending our support as they continue to grow and develop their range.”
