Ice cream is not only for summer, but also for spring, autumn and winter: Sensient Flavors introduces new creations which allow manufacturers to offer ice creams that fit with seasonal consumer preferences. Inspired fruit preparations bring in a fresh and healthy appeal with deep and intense tastes, while inclusions such as cookies, meringue and coffee bits offer a pleasantly textured experience.

Sensient’s new concepts reflect typical seasonal flavors. Accordingly, the summer varieties comprise fruits such as strawberries – both in the form of a fruity and refreshing sorbet and in a creamy ice version, each accompanied by a strawberry fruit preparation. The range combines classic and innovative flavors – for example, vanilla ice with fruit preparations including hints of herbs and spices that provide a subtle savory note. With this innovative mix, the company intends to target not only the traditional but also the adventurous consumer.

Depending on the product concept, the fruit preparations can be used as ripples, top or bottom layers as well as intermediate layers. To guarantee optimum processability for each variant, Sensient can adapt the fruit preparation’s viscosity in line with the requested concept. All of the preparations contain only natural flavorings and their fruit content varies between 30 and 60 per cent.

Besides ice cream, Sensient’s fruit preparations can be applied to many other types of dairy product. Since the fruit preparations can be offered in variants free of additives, they are perfect for clean label products. The aseptically-filled bag-in-box systems enable the company to fulfill smaller order quantities such as 25 kg packs.
