Nude Brand Creation today announces the appointment of Martin Riley as its first non-executive director. Riley joins the design and branding agency from Pernod Ricard, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer until December 2014.

Strategic drinks sector insight
“This is exciting news, not just for our agency, but for the drinks industry as a whole,” says Bernard Gormley, Director, Nude Brand Creation. “Over the years Nude has built a reputation for award-winning and commercially-effective design, primarily for premium and luxury brands that have international reach. This new appointment will add a fresh dimension for our clients – it will give them access to Martin’s strategic expertise, gained over a long, distinguished career across multiple markets.”

Riley has been a client of Nude for more than ten years. His association with Gormley goes back many years to when Riley was Marketing Manager for Sandeman Ports. Riley was President of the World Federation of Advertisers until March 2015 and has recently been named as the Grand Rectifier of the Gin Guild.

Design matters
“Design is the single most important element in drinks marketing, says Riley. “It is the one aspect that can create a direct relationship between a brand and a customer. Over the years of working with Nude I have been continually impressed by the time, care and attention they lavish on a project, understanding a brand’s true story and then expressing it in a way that stands out.”

He adds: “The four founders are all very hands-on, and this produces results. We see these results in client relationships that endure, in brand and packaging design that succeeds, and in work that wins award after award.”
