AutoCoding Systems Ltd, specialist systems integrator, will be demonstrating its proven range of packaging line automation solutions at this year’s PPMA exhibition.

Visit Stand C16 to see how the AutoCoding system sets up and controls various packaging line devices, irrespective of manufacturer, including coding and labelling equipment, barcode scanners, checkweighing and metal detection equipment and vision solutions.

Incorrectly coded or packaging goods can result in not only financial losses, but product and packaging waste, as well as the less tangible damage it may cause to a company’s reputation. 

The AutoCoding system is already providing measurable benefits to numerous factories across theUKby reducing downtime across packaging lines and eliminating the risk of human error.  The AutoCoding solution combines a number of proactive systems to maximise the opportunity to get things “right first time” by managing the deployment of coding data and the checking of packaging issued to the line before its use.  This significantly reduces the opportunity for error and by catching mistakes at source, re-works or significant changeover delays to re-code or correct the packaging are avoided.

Data for products or orders can be contained centrally within the AutoCoding database or, alternatively, the AutoCoding software can be linked dynamically to any ERP or management system.  The standard AutoCoding product complies with major retailers’ guidelines and codes of practice.

The Auto Coding line infrastructure can be used in the future to deliver benefits such as electronic capture of QC records, integration with the planning function and line performance monitoring to measure important production metrics such as OEE and changeover efficiency.

AutoCoding Systems also offers a range of standard solutions for managing off-line coding, outer case and tray-end label production and the control of promotional labelling.
