Hubert Weber of Mondelēz Europe Becomes President of FoodDrinkEurope

Hubert Weber, Executive Vice President and President Europe for Mondelēz International, has been elected as President of FoodDrinkEurope, Europe’s food and drink industry organisation. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Hubert Weber has led Mondelēz International’s European business since August 2013. He has been a member of FoodDrinkEurope’s board since September 2013 and has already contributed actively to the work of the association as champion for health and nutrition issues.

Hubert Weber takes over from Gilles Morel, Regional President Europe & Eurasia of MARS, who had been president since June 2015.

Hubert Weber comments: “It is a great honour to represent the European food and drink sector as President of FoodDrinkEurope at this dynamic and critically important time for our region. As a leading economic contributor and employer in Europe, I look forward on behalf of my colleagues to engaging with our key partners and to representing the best interests of our industry, consumers and employees. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to succeed Gilles Morel and to build on the excellent work that he and the Secretariat have done in recent years.”
