SPX, a leading supplier of flow technology solutions, has announced the release of a new smart phone app to help customers easily access support information about SPX products in the field. Initially, the app will provide resources for SPX’s Waukesha Cherry-Burrell Universal series positive displacement pump range and the new EcoPure™ magnetically driven centrifugal pumps manufactured after April 1, 2015. SPX will continue to add more products from its portfolio in the future.

Users will be able to scan a product’s QR code or enter a serial number to access product details such as a unique product description and general specifications. Convenient options include the ability to submit a request for quotation (RFQ) for new units and spare parts through an approved channel partner.  Users will also be able to access channel partner contact details, request service support, review product documentation, or view support videos to help with operation and maintenance.

SPX1August2015Overall, this new application will make it faster and easier for customers with mobile devices to find the information they need about their exact product.

SPX has a comprehensive range of expert services that help to maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, prolong product lifecycle and ensure ongoing reliability of its solutions. The SPX Connect App further shows service options available for the equipment; everything from requesting advice to onsite product inspection and repair. The app is available for free for mobile devices running iOS by going to the iTunes Store or for Android devices through Google Play. Other mobile devices that possess a QR scanner can simply access the on-line version of the application when scanning in a product code or by going to http://qr.spxflow.com/

Scott Dillner, Director Marketing Services at SPX, comments: “Time is precious to busy site engineers and technicians. While we are continually developing our product ranges to push the boundaries of efficiency, reliability, performance and sustainability, we also want to ensure aftermarket services and product information are easily accessible. SPX has an extensive range of leading support services and this app will enhance our customers’ experience by allowing them access to product information from the palm of their hand.”
